Skoda has added a brand new Sportline trim, bringing black detailing and performance-inspired options to its standard Octavia hatchback and property.

The Sportline badge, as used on equally conceived variations of the Enyaq iV, Skoda Karoq and Skoda Kodiaq, has been used on earlier generations of the Octavia, and is now being rolled out for the most recent technology.

Most clearly, the bundle provides black detailing to the Octavia’s entrance bumper, grille and rear diffuser. The badging on the boot lid is completed in black, too.

Different exterior upgrades embrace the addition of 18in Vega wheels – 2in bigger than is normal for the entry-level SE and SE Expertise trims and 1in bigger than these of the mid-range SE L.

Inside, the Octavia Sportline contains sports activities seats with built-in headrests, gloss-black strips and a cloth end across the instrument panel.

The Sportline sits just under the range-topping Octavia vRS. Though Skoda has but to disclose pricing, Autocar expects it to separate the distinction between the SE L, which is out there from £25,375, and the £30,620 vRS.

The Octavia Sportline is out there with the identical engines because the mid-range SE L providing, with a selection of petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid powertrains. Energy outputs vary from 113bhp to 201bhp.

As with the SE L, Skoda will provide the Sportline in each front-wheel-drive and four-wheel drive types.
